Location-based content is a great way to enhance personalization within your website. We know that increasing personalization across the whole buyer’s journey has a positive effect on conversion rates.

Using our Location Restriction option you can automatically run holiday banners for dedicated countries, or showcase your product in different geographical environments.

Conversion Wax detects a user’s geographical location (based on their IP address) and automatically displays the relevant banner on your website.

Simply follow these steps to get started!

  • From your dashboard, select “Manage Content”.
For new content, you will need to enter a name. Then, choose the banner(s) you want to work with by clicking “Select”.

  • Location Restriction
    This step is optional
Select the location(s) you want your banner to be shown. You can be super specific here and choose Country, Region and even City.

Top Tip! You can also choose multiple locations across different countries. This is great if your imagery reflects global climates or environments

  • URL Variables
    This step is optional
Here you can set-up exclusion URLs for those pages you do not want to include. For example, location or interest-specific landing pages.
Select “Add New Tags” and choose a name for your excluded URL, then add the link into the“Value” box and click save.

  • Once you have chosen your content options – SAVE. You have an opportunity here to write any version notes for your own reference.

  • Add additional banners
Under your existing banner choice there is a button to “Add additional banners”.
Repeat steps 1-4 above for each banner version, adding the relevant location parameters and any URL variables.

Once you have set up and saved your content, you now have an option to publish.
You can publish now or schedule your content for future release.
