Setting up A/B testing

A/B testing, or split testing, is one of the most successful ways to increase conversions across e-commerce sites and online marketing.


Conversion Wax have a dedicated A/B testing functionality that you can easily implement when creating your banners.

How to set up A/B testing

  • Make sure your chosen images or videos are uploaded by using the “Manage Images & Videos” tab

  • Create a new banner
    Head to the Manage Banners tab and click “Add banner”. Don’t forget to give your banner a name

  • Enable A/B testing
    Simply check the A/B testing checkbox on the right side of your screen. You will now be able to access both “Assets A” and “Assets B” columns

  • Build your banners
    Use the Assets A column for your first set of imagery - don’t forget to add images for desktop, tablet and mobile.
    Use the Assets B column for your second set of imagery.
    Follow the usual process for creating a banner by entering event URLs and on-click event names.

  • Save!
    Your A/B banners are now complete.

  • Create a content
    Create your scheduled or personalized content in the “Manage Content” tab.

  • Get your code
    Once your content is set up, your “Get Code” button will turn green. When you click, your code will automatically copy to your clipboard and you’re ready to insert this into your CMS wherever you’d like your content to appear.
